The cafe is located on the same level as the Fitness Club and is completely open, with no doors for entrance. The interior has a beautiful, tiled floor, and floor to ceiling windows that provide an immense amount of natural sunlight in the cafe- and you have an unbelievable view of Northwest DC!
This cafe seats about 85 patrons in total- the cafe area seats about 50 and an additional 35 patrons in the “shared lobby” space right outside of the cafe, with 5 TVs on display. There is a bar that seats 15 patrons with a green granite bar top that compliments the interior well, and it contains a 5 tap kegerator behind the bar for service. Seating throughout this restaurant is mixed with high top tables and standard tables as well as bar and booth seating.
The Kitchen is an open kitchen as you walk in, with another kitchen behind the cook line. It is equipped with stainless steel appliances and countertops and contains: Refrigerated cold display box for yogurts, sandwiches, reach in containers, 2 large display menus behind front counter, a 12 foot hood, one 3 door standing fridge, 2 basket fryer, 6 burner stove, 2 foot Char grille, ice machine, and a large dish pit with plenty of racks throughout for dry storage. The kitchen also contains: an espresso machine, a large walk-in fridge with a walk-in freezer inside of it, and a 2-door convection oven.
The main kitchen is not presently operational. The main kitchen contains a 20-foot hood that is not currently operating, and the rest of the kitchen line is not currently operating. This restaurant/cafe is fully sprinkled and has a security system in place
The Café Line, Kitchen, office, and storage is about 2000 sq. feet. The café seating area is additional 2500 sq. feet. There is an alcohol bar that is not in use but could be put to use as Equinox has Liquor license for the facility and they would welcome the bar being re-opened.
In the last two months almost $100,000 has been spent on new equipment and repairs to existing equipment and on maintenance for the flooring, kitchen ceilings and walls. Facility looks like new.
